About the Artist

Holland Hardie is an avid printmaker based in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Holland’s work centers on the Chihuahuan Desert where she was raised, and the feeling of belonging invoked when one is in a long-familiar environment. The vibrant colors, detailed imagery, and heavy symbolism in Holland’s art draw influence from two seemingly disparate printmakers, Albrecht Dürer and Richard Diebenkorn.

Holland graduated from St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota with degrees in mathematics and studio art. Prior to graduation, she completed a three-month internship at Remarque Print Workshop in Albuquerque and worked as the Technical Assistant in the St. Olaf printmaking studio. After graduation, Holland participated in St. Olaf’s prestigious Fifth-Year Emerging Artist Program, where she served as a mentor to the undergraduate art students while honing her knowledge and skills in printmaking. After completing the program, Holland remained in the Minneapolis area to perform and record with the post-punk band Bob Ross Mob Boss, which was voted Best Band Name by CityPages in 2019, before moving to Albuquerque, New Mexico to pursue a career in the arts.

After working as the Marketing Director at Remarque Print Workshop for a couple years, Holland became one of Remarque’s team of four Co-Owners in 2021. When not working at the printshop, Holland is either creating artwork with the wonderful community of Albuquerque-based artists, or climbing and hiking in her favorite mountains.
